From vibrant prints and geometric designs to pretty pastels, the catwalks of the world’s biggest designers have been showcasing some truly inspirational designs this season. The accessories market is no different, and for sunglasses in particular, there are some fantastic designs available for both men and women.

Bright and bold frames

First up in this season’s portfolio of themes is bright primary colours and chunky designs. As seen in the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012 collection, petrol blues, rich reds and burnt oranges are hot property in the fashion world right now and the same goes for sunglasses styles. With bold frames, the bigger the better, so opt for an oversized square frame in a vivid colour to optimum effect and on-trend appeal. These Prada butterfly-shaped sunglasses offer a warm purple colour and oversized style. (Prada sunglasses RRP £180, our price £120).

Vintage beauty

As seen on Ralph Lauren, the vintage-inspired trend is stunning and wearable. Tortoiseshell and amber hues epitomise the trend beautifully, and black and brown frames don’t have to mean a boring choice. Cat eye shape sunglasses in vintage colours will turn your everyday look into a glamorous and on-trend fashion-conscious choice. These Chloe sunglasses offer a beautiful – and affordable – way to opt-in to this uber-fashionable trend for 2012. (Chloe sunglasses RRP £200, our price £120)

Pretty in pastels

In contrast to our first piece of advice, pastels are also a fashionable choice this season. Great for both paler and darker skin tones, pastels needn’t wash you out. Instead, lemons, baby blues and mint greens can give any wardrobe a new lease of life for the Spring season. Catwalks from the likes of Prada and Chanel have been adorned with some stunning pastel designs. These Marc Jacobs sunglasses in pastel pink are easy-to-wear and will complement any outfit this season. (Marc Jacobs sunglasses RRP £119, our price £95).
